App development

Develop an app

We build iOS and Android apps for companies solving a real problem, not just filling a slot in an app store. Fixed price, weekly demos and a finished app published in both stores.

  • Published to the App Store and Google Play
  • One codebase for both iOS and Android
  • A testable app on your phone every week

What does it cost to develop an app?

Most apps we build

100,000 to 1,000,000 SEK

You always get a fixed price before the build starts, so you know exactly what the app costs before the first line of code is written.

The range is wide because price is driven by what the app has to do, not by how many screens it has. An app that displays information costs a fraction of one handling payments, accounts and integrations. Below is what decides where in the range you land.

Lower end of the range

One clearly defined purpose, a handful of screens and no login. The app fetches information and presents it well. Ideal for testing an idea with real users.

Easiest to get started with

6 to 10 weeks

Middle of the range

Logins, notifications, payments or connections to systems you already have. This is where most business apps land.

Most common in our projects

10 to 16 weeks

Upper end of the range

Custom backend, multiple user roles, an admin interface and features that work offline or update in real time.

For apps that become a platform

4 to 6 months

What affects the price most

Integrations

Every system the app talks to, such as payments, CRM or an ERP, requires its own work and its own testing.

User accounts

Logins, roles and permissions are among the most common cost drivers in an app.

Design

An existing design system lowers the cost. Building everything from scratch adds design work.

Offline and real time

Apps that must work without a connection or update instantly require more advanced architecture.

How long does it take to develop an app?

From first call to app in store normally takes 8 to 14 weeks. Here is what a typical timeline looks like.

  1. Week 1

    Needs and scope

We go through what the app should solve and set a clear boundary for the first version.

  2. Week 2 to 3

    Design and architecture

Sketches of flows and screens, plus the choice of technology and structure.

  3. Week 4 to 10

    Development

We build in short cycles. You get a testable version on your phone every week.

  4. Week 11 to 12

    Testing and launch

Final testing, store assets and review by Apple and Google.

Build the app yourself or get help?

Both routes work. It comes down to what the app needs to become and how much time you have.

Build it yourself

  • You have developers in house or time to learn
  • The app is simple and mainly tests an idea
  • No integrations or sensitive data involved
  • You accept that store publishing takes time to learn

Work with us

  • The app will be used by customers or staff for real
  • It needs to connect to systems you already have
  • You need a timeline that holds
  • You would rather skip learning Apple and Google rulebooks

Native, hybrid or web app?

The technology choice drives both cost and how the app feels to use. We recommend what fits your situation, not what is easiest for us.

Native

Built separately for iOS and Android. Best performance and full access to device features. Most expensive since two codebases need maintaining.

Shared codebase

One codebase producing native apps for both platforms. This is what we recommend for most business apps.

Web app

Runs in the browser and can be installed on the home screen. Cheapest and fastest, but lacks access to some device features.

Frequently asked questions about developing an app

What does it cost to develop an app?

Most apps we build cost between 100,000 and 1,000,000 SEK. Where you land is decided by what the app has to do: an app that fetches and displays information sits at the lower end, while logins, payments and integrations with existing systems push the price up. Contact us for a free estimate, and a fixed price before the build starts.

How long does it take to develop an app?

A first launchable version normally takes 8 to 14 weeks. Simpler apps can be ready in 6 weeks, while larger platforms take 4 to 6 months. You see working parts of the app every week during the build, so the wait is never a black box.

Can I develop an app myself?

Yes, if you have developers in house or time to learn. No-code tools work for simple ideas, but they run out quickly once you need integrations, custom design or App Store publishing. Many of our clients start on their own and bring us in when the app needs to become a real product.

Do I need two separate apps for iOS and Android?

No. We usually build on a shared codebase that produces native apps for both iOS and Android. You get an app that feels right on both platforms without paying for two separate development projects.

Who owns the app and the code?

You do, completely. All code, design and data belong to you, and the Apple and Google accounts are in your name. You can take the project elsewhere at any time without asking us.

What happens after the app launches?

Apps need maintenance as Apple and Google release new operating system versions. We stay on as your technical partner with hosting, monitoring and further development if you want, or hand everything over to your own team.

Do you help publish the app to the App Store and Google Play?

Yes. We handle the entire release, including accounts, review process, store assets and the technical requirements Apple and Google impose. You do not need to learn their rulebooks.

What do you need from us to get started?

A description of what the app should solve and for whom. You need neither a requirements document nor a finished design. We help shape the idea during the first call and then send a proposal with scope, timeline and price.
